Brynlee Marie part II

From the previous blog you can understand how emotional I was during this entire pregnancy. Side note. I had to see an allergist this pregnancy from a reaction at the dentist. Learned I'm allergic to some preservatives in medications and anesthetics. Which explained my reactions to an epidural I had a previous labor. So my cnp recommended with my emotional state plus having to go natural I needed to seek a doula. A what? I thought. So off I went to do research. Luckily my aunt had a friend who was a doula and put me in touch with her. We talked and she gave me helpful advice about what questions to ask and assured me this was something I could do. I think I was 20ish weeks at this point. My main concern was just making it full term. I was having no luck finding any doula Searching the web. So for some reason I get a nudge to search on Craigslist. Why not I thought. That's where I found Felicia. I emailed her and she was quick to respond. I was sooo nervous. We set up a...

We found out very early we were expecting baby number 3. I was about 3 weeks along. And at 4 weeks it was confirmed. :) We were so surprised and excited. I never really had morning sickness with the first 2 but this time around at 6 weeks I found myself before the Porcelain throne. After vomiting for 48 hrs straight. It was time to go to the hospital. I was dehydrated and in so much pain. I was thinking this is more than morning sickness. They gave me some fenergan. Which dropped my blood pressure so low and so fast I passed out. :/ not fun. I had to pull the emergency cord thingy from in the bathroom. A doctor knocked, "is everything ok?" I wanted to shout, "no I just pulled that cord to see if it really worked!" But all I could muster was,"I passed out." He wheeled me back to my room where I wasn't aloud to get up anymore. Several Iv bags later I was able to go home. I was still sick for about the next 3 weeks. The it subsided. During that tim...

5:00 am December 29th 2009 I find myself in the hospital for an elected induction. So now let's back up a week. My 39 week ob visit we decided to be induced. I was already 3 cm and 50% effaced. He called my cervix favorable. We chose this route because I was in a lot of pain from several gall stones and a pulled stomac muscle. Back to the 29 th. I didn't sleep at all I was so nervous. Questioning my decision, am I making the right choice what if something goes wrong I even threw up at the hospital. But ultimately I stayed with my choice. So we get there and it takes an hr to sign my life away and get all the paper work done. Which included signing more papers because I refused shots for her. Then they attempt the dreaded IV. I tell the nurse there is only 1 good vein and I went through cruel and unusual punishment with Jada to put the IV in. They stuck the needle in and pushed my veins back and forth to get it in. Sooo painful! I told her she had 2 sticks and that's i...
